CUT PRACTICE VOLUME TO 75%
PI VOLUME CONTROL DISKS

KEEP THE TONE - GET GREAT FEEL - LOSE THE VOLUME

PERFECT FOR TEACHING - APARTMENTS - LOW VOLUME SITUATIONS

A Philosophy of Drum Mutes:

I've never met a drummer that wanted to mute his or her set.  Every drummer would rather not use drum or cymbal mutes.  Most players want to hear themselves play.  Unfortunately that is not the case in the real world.  Society does not always feel the same way about drumming as drummers.  Thus, drum mutes are usually involuntary and forced.

Personally, drum mutes that mute "all my tone" also mute "all my passion" for playing.  I don’t hear about flute mutes, clarinet mutes, oboe mutes, or violin mutes.  So why is it that drummers are expected to eliminate all their volume?   A double standard??

I invented PI Volume Control Systems to give drummers a low-volume option to total muting.  I don’t know about you, but I am tired of not being able to hear or feel what I am practicing on big clumsy neoprene pads.  I like to have a sense of what I am playing. . . including all the subtleties.  Every musician needs to hear what they are doing and what they are practicing.  PI VCD Pads and Cymbal Mutes represent a paradigm shift in low volume practice.  VCD Pads trim 75% of the attack volume and allow you to hear a substantial amount of tone and maintain a great feel.

In summary, muting drums could be seen as muting a drummer’s soul.  Our PI VCD Pad customers report experiencing hours of inspired motivated low-volume practice!  With VCD Pads, you’ll hear tone and your neighbors will hear nothing!  And who knows, someday those same neighbors may be at one of your gigs . . . requesting your band play their favorite song . . . begging you to play “just one more” at the end of the night!

To every rule there's an exception. . . a better way to practice!
